Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In an effort to comply with the guidelines set out by the chief medical officer to limit the spread of COVID-19, Border Veterinary Clinic has set out the following guidelines for how we can conduct business:

  • If you are ill with influenza-like symptoms such as fever, extreme tiredness, cough and difficulty breathing, please do not enter the building.

  • If you are over 60 years of age and/or have pre-existing medical conditions, we would remind you of your increased risk of contracting and dying from this disease.

  • If we can address your veterinary needs via conversation, we request that you contact our office over the phone.

  • For product purchase, including prescriptions, we encourage you to call us first so our staff can have it ready prior to your arrival.

  • If you do enter the building, we would ask that you:

  • limit the number of people entering to the minimum

  • practice multiple hand washes

  • avoid touching your face

  • cover your cough and sneezes and then wash your hands.

  • keep a safe distance of 3 feet between individuals.

  • Should you be uncomfortable with entering our building, our staff is available to:

  • deliver veterinary products to your vehicle

  • pick up your small animal patient from your vehicle.

  • As staff members we are committed to maintaining quality veterinary services, while following the practices below:

  • Cleaning regularly, especially high traffic areas.

  • Wiping down and disinfecting surfaces

  • Providing access to hand washing supplies.

  • Frequent hand washing.

  • People distancing (3 feet between individuals)

  • Staying home if we are sick.

  • Keeping current on the latest information regarding COVID-19.
